The Heat Plan Database is an experimental tool that provides access to over 2,000 heat-related actions extracted from 200 planning documents nationwide.
Data was manually extracted from plans identified through the following strategies:
Systematic search of the following plan types:
Extreme heat plans (states and top-50 most populous counties/cities)
Hazard mitigation plans (states and top-50 most populous counties/cities)
Climate action plans/sustainability plans (states)
Resilience plans (states)
Emergency response plans, Emergency operations plans, Urban forestry plans, Comprehensive plans (in progress)
Convenience search in Georgetown’s Adaptation Clearinghouse:
Climate action plans/sustainability plans (city/county)
Resilience plans (city/county)
